A little chance. A new possibility.

Privacy Policy

How your inputs and roll history are handled, what the web server records and what happens when you email us.

Summary

  • Rolls, settings and history stay in your browser tab and are not sent to the server.
  • The site sets no cookies and uses no analytics, advertising, social media or other third-party scripts.
  • The web server keeps short-lived technical access logs.
  • If you email us, we receive your address and message and use them only to reply.

Who is responsible

thediceroller.co is run by its operator, who decides how the data described here is used and can be reached at contact@thediceroller.co.

To be completed: the operator's full legal name and postal address, which privacy law in many countries requires on this page.

What data is collected and why

When you use the dice tools

Results are generated in your browser and history is held in the memory of the open tab. Clearing history or reloading the page removes those records. Your settings and rolls are not sent to the server. Copying a result copies only the selected roll text to your own clipboard.

Server access logs

Like most websites, the web server keeps technical access logs: IP address, date and time, the requested address, the response status, the referring page and the browser's user agent. They are used only to deliver the site, to find faults and to protect it against abuse.

When you email us

If you write to contact@thediceroller.co, we receive your email address, your message and any attachments. They are used only to answer you and to act on what you reported.

Storage on your device

The site stores your cookie choice in your browser's local storage, and, only if you allow functional storage, a one-time note that lets a D100 chosen on a die-size page open on the homepage. Both are described in the cookie policy.

Legal basis

Server logs are kept because operating a secure website is a legitimate interest. Answering your email is based on your request. Functional storage is used only with your consent, which you can withdraw at any time.

How long data is kept

  • Server logs: log files are rotated by size, and rotated files are deleted after 10 days.
  • Emails: kept only as long as needed to deal with your message and any follow-up, then deleted.
  • Roll history: until you clear it, reload or close the tab.
  • Storage on your device: until you change your choice or clear your browser storage.

Third-party services

Fonts, images and scripts are all served from thediceroller.co; the site makes no requests to other domains while you browse. The following providers are involved in running it:

  • Hosting: the site runs on a rented virtual server, which processes the access logs described above.
  • Certificates: the HTTPS certificate is issued by Let's Encrypt. Your browser may check the certificate's status with Let's Encrypt; the site sends it no visitor data.
  • Email: messages to contact@thediceroller.co are delivered through the email forwarding service of the domain registrar, Namecheap, to the operator's mailbox.

Analytics and advertising

The site uses no analytics, no advertising and no tracking pixels, and does not sell or share personal data. If that ever changes, this policy and the cookie settings will be updated before anything new is loaded, and non-essential services will only run after you consent.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to ask for access to your personal data, to have it corrected or deleted, to restrict or object to its use, to receive a copy in a portable format, and to withdraw consent. You can also complain to your local data protection authority. To make a request, email contact@thediceroller.co. We may need to ask for details that let us find the relevant log entries or emails.

Children

The site has no accounts and does not knowingly collect personal data from children. Children can use the tools without giving any information.

Changes to this policy

When the way data is handled changes, this page is updated and the date below changes with it.
