The rules for using thediceroller.co and its dice tools. By using the site you agree to these terms.
What the site provides
The Dice Roller provides free browser tools that generate random dice values, letters and ability-score rolls, together with explanations of dice notation and probability. No account is needed and no payment is taken.
Acceptable use
You may use the tools for personal, educational and game purposes, including on a shared or projected screen. You must not:
- attempt to disrupt, overload or gain unauthorised access to the site or its server;
- send automated requests at a rate that affects other visitors;
- copy the site in a way that presents it as your own or as an official product;
- use the site to break the law or the rules of a platform or competition you take part in.
Results and games
Each result is generated independently and at random. The site does not interpret results under any game's rules, and your game, table or organiser decides how a result applies. See the disclaimer for uses the tools are not suitable for.
Intellectual property
The text, page design, illustrations and code of thediceroller.co belong to its operator unless stated otherwise. You may quote short passages with a link to the source page.
The Inter typeface is used under the SIL Open Font License 1.1. Names of games and publishers belong to their respective owners and are used only to describe possible uses.
Links and third-party names
The site does not currently link to other websites. If links are added, they are provided for convenience; the operator does not control third-party sites and is not responsible for their content or policies.
Availability and changes
The site is offered as it is and as available. Tools, pages and these terms may change, be paused or be removed at any time, for example for maintenance or improvements. Updated terms apply from the date shown on this page.
Limitations
The tools are provided free of charge and without any guarantee that they will be uninterrupted or error-free. To the extent permitted by the law that applies to you, the operator is not liable for any loss arising from use of the site or reliance on a result. Nothing in these terms limits rights that cannot be limited under that law.
Your responsibilities
- Check that a tool fits the purpose you use it for.
- Keep your own record of results that matter; history is lost when the tab is reloaded or closed.
- Report errors you notice so they can be fixed.
