A little chance. A new possibility.

Write for Us

Have a useful, original article about dice, probability or tabletop play? Pitch it to us by email.

Topics we accept

  • Dice probability explained clearly, for example sums, doubles, advantage or dropping dice.
  • Using dice in teaching: probability lessons, classroom games and random selection.
  • Practical tabletop advice that involves rolling, such as speeding up combat or explaining notation to new players.
  • Board-game and party-game ideas that use standard dice or random letters.
  • The history and design of dice and randomisers.

What we do not accept

  • Spam, link-only pitches or articles written mainly to place a link.
  • Copied, rewritten or bulk-generated text, or anything published elsewhere.
  • Misleading claims, invented statistics, fake reviews or unsupported expert credentials.
  • Gambling, betting or real-money gaming promotion.
  • Rules text reproduced from commercial games.

Quality standards

  • Written for readers: practical, accurate and easy to follow.
  • Every number checked: show how probabilities are calculated or cite where they come from.
  • Original examples, tables or explanations that add something new.
  • Clear, plain English with descriptive headings.

Originality

Submissions must be your own original work, not published anywhere else, including your own website, and must stay exclusive to this site after publication. Tell us if you used software to help write or check the text; you remain responsible for every claim in it.

Editorial review

Every pitch is reviewed by the editor. We may ask for changes, check calculations, edit for clarity and length, or decline at any stage. Publication is not guaranteed, even after a draft has been accepted for review, and we decide the title, timing and placement on the site.

Links and commercial submissions

We do not sell links, sponsored posts or guaranteed placement, and we do not promise followed links. A link is only kept if it genuinely helps readers. If you have any commercial interest in your article, such as an employer, client, product or payment involved, you must say so in your pitch. If we publish such an article, the relationship will be disclosed on the page.

How to submit

Email contact@thediceroller.co with the subject line “Guest article: your proposed title”. Please include:

  • a short outline and the main point of the article;
  • one or two links to writing you have published, if available;
  • a sentence about yourself and any relevant experience;
  • any commercial relationship connected to the topic.

After you submit

We read every pitch but cannot reply to all of them. If your idea fits, we will contact you to agree on the next steps. By sending a draft you confirm that you own the rights to it and allow us to edit and publish it with your name. Details about how we handle your email are in the privacy policy.
